NORTHERN CALIFORNIA Filming Locations — • Oakland, Alameda County: On June 17-18th, 1999, Arthur J. Lang Productions shot this Macy's commercial at various locations in Downtown Oakland: Paramount Theater, 14th & Franklin Streets, Lake Merritt Boat House and Gondola, City Hall at Frank Ogawa Plaza, State Building, Flatiron Building, and 12th & Franklin. The commercial premiered on national television in August 1999.
Paramount Theater on Broadway.	14th Street at Franklin, from above the Merchants Parking Garage.
Lakeside Park Boat House on Bellevue Avenue at Lake Merritt.	Gondola at Lake Merritt.
Gondola at Lake Merritt.	City Hall at Frank Ogawa Plaza.
Lobby of the Elihu Harris State Building, 1515 Clay Street between 14th and 16th Streets.	Flatiron Building at the corner of 14th & Broadway.
Again, the State Building lobby, second level.	North on Franklin Street near 12th. We did not have this many background extras on the day we shot this scene, so I am guessing some of these people were duplicated with visual-effects during post-production.
