Elizabeth DUNGAN, wife of Nathaniel WEST Jr., was the daughter of Rev. Thomas DUNGAN and Elizabeth WEAVER. Thomas DUNGAN was born and christened on 13 February 1635 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Westminister, London, England, the son of William DUNGAN and Frances LATHAM. He married in 1663 Newport County, Rhode Island, to Elizabeth WEAVER. Elizabeth, born in 1645 Newport, Newport, RI, was the daughter of Clement WEAVER and Mary FREEBORN. They had nine children. Thomas died in 1688 Cold Springs, Bucks County, PA, and Elizabeth died in 1697 Bucks County, PA.

Thomas DUNGAN's parents were William DUNGAN and Frances LATHAM. William DUNGAN was born about 1600 in Celbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. He was the son of Thomas DUNGAN and Mary, although their parentage is still unknown. The theory that Thomas DUNGAN was descended from the DONGANs and the FORSTERs (the FORSTER line connected to English Royalty through King Edward III) has been disproved.106
Frances LATHAM was born and christened 15 February 1609 in Kempston, County Bedfordshire, England, the daughter of Lewis and Elizabeth LATHAM. William and Frances were married 27 August 1629 in Middlesex, London, England. They had six children. William died 16 September 1636 in St. Martin-in-the-Fields. Frances and her children went to America. She remarried Jeremiah CLARKE in 1637 and had more children.
Jeremiah CLARKE, the son of William CLARKE and Mary WESTON (sister of Richard WESTON, Earl of Portland), was christened 1 December 1605 in East Farleigh, County Kent, England. He was buried November 1651 in Newport County, RI. Frances married in 1655 to Rev. William VAUGHN. She died in September 1677 in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island.

Lewis LATHAM was born in 1584 Elstow, County Bedfordshire, England, the son of John LATHAM Jr. He married in 1608 Kempstone, County Bedfordshire, England, to an Elizabeth. They had thirteen children. Lewis LATHAM, a falconer for Prince Henry, later advanced to the position of sergeant of the hawks. His wife Elizabeth was buried 14 September 1620 in Elston. He remarried about 1622 to a Winifred DOWNES. Lewis LATHAM died 15 May 1655 in Elveston, Bedfordshire. He was displeased that his daughters mostly married men of their own choosing so he only left twelve pence to each of them, and then "only if they come and demand it".

Clement, born before 11 December 1625 in Glastonbury, County Somersetshire, England, was the son of Clement WEAVER and Rebecca HOLBROOK. He married about 1645 in Newport County, RI, to Mary FREEBORN, daughter of William FREEBORN and Mary. They had six children.
Sgt. Clement WEAVER was a member of the House of Deputies in 1683 and 1690, Assistant Deputy Governor of Rhode Island in 1683, overseer of the poor in 1687, and a member of the grand jury in 1688. Mary (FREEBORN) WEAVER died after 6 March 1664 in Rhode Island, and Clement WEAVER died after 24 Nov 1680 in Portsmouth, RI.
