The wife of Isaac FERGUSON was Elizabeth LEEDOM. Elizabeth was the daughter of John LEEDOM and Letitia JONES. John LEEDOM, sometimes known as "Irish John", was born about 1730 in Ireland, but his parents were English.98 Abt 1815, probably in Washington County, PA, he married Letitia JONES, born 2 April 1730 in Richland, Bucks, PA. Letitia was the daughter of Thomas JONES and Martha WEST. "Soon after their marriage, John and Letitia moved to what was known as the Redstone Country (now Washington County, Pa.), where John had purchased 234¾ acres of land from Ruth HORNE. We know that they and several of their children were living there in 1790, when the first census of the United States was taken."99 They had nine children in all. John died about 1752 in New Britain, Bucks County, PA. Letitia died about 1815 in Washington County, PA.

Letitia JONES, wife of John LEEDOM, was the daughter of Thomas JONES and Martha WEST. Thomas JONES was born in 1708 in Wales. He came to America when he was about eighteen years old, in 1725 or 1726, and his occupation was a tailor101. He married 26 December 1729 at the Christ Church, Bucks County, PA, to Martha WEST, daughter of Nathaniel WEST III and Elizabeth. Martha was born in 1707 Neshaminy, PA. They had seven children.
It seems that Thomas JONES was somewhat wealthy, "Thomas JONES must have been in possession of considerable property, either as an inheritance or by his management and good fortune, for he purchased a large tract of land, or rather different tracts adjoining each other, in New Britain, Bucks County. He settled there, clearing and building and improving the land, and settled all his sons around him as they married."102 Martha died 4 June 1759 in New Britain, Bucks, PA. Supposedly Thomas JONES remarried to someone else after Martha died.

Nathaniel WEST III, father of Martha (WEST) JONES, was the son of Nathaniel WEST Jr. and Elizabeth DUNGAN. He was born about 1685 in Bucks County, PA. He married about 1706 in Bucks County to an Elizabeth. They had nine children. They both died sometime after 1729.104

Nathaniel WEST Jr., father of Nathaniel WEST III, was born before 1658 in Mansfield, Burlington County, New Jersey. He was the son of Nathaniel WEST Sr. Nathaniel Sr., born about 1639, was one of the original members of the First Baptist Church of Newport, RI. He died "while on a visit to the Plymouth Colony in February 1658… [He] had occasion to go to Providence, and going upon the ice, he broke through and was drowned." This was in Providence, Newport County, Rhode Island. His father was Matthew WEST, an "early settler at Lynn, Mass., but removed to Newport in 1636."
Nathaniel WEST Jr. married about 1684 in Newport County, Rhode Island, to Elizabeth DUNGAN, daughter of Thomas DUNGAN and Elizabeth WEAVER. They had at least two children. Elizabeth (DUNGAN) WEST died in 1696 and Nathaniel WEST died in 1697 in Burlington County, New Jersey. Elizabeth is buried in Cold Springs, Bucks County, PA.
